Tell It Forward - The Power of Stories to Shape Our Future

We did it!

Saturday, May 30, at 7pm, Young Playwrights' hosted its first-ever virtual event, Tell It Forward - The Power of Stories to Shape Our Future, live on YouTube and Facebook. Tell It Forward was a YPT virtual event showcasing our students as they tell stories to process their present and shape their future. The event was a culmination of a six-week fundraising campaign to support our programs and operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. Watch the entire event below.

Thank you to everyone who tuned in for Tell It Foward and contributed to our campaign. We surpassed our goal of $10,000 to sustain our operations and support our adapted programming.

If you were not able to tune in on May 30, but would still like to support YPT, you can donate online or contact Jessica Wisser at jwisser@yptdc.org to discuss other ways to get involved.

During this unprecedented time, young people across our region are experiencing the world in new and unexpected ways. YPT is committed to continuing to provide our community with high-quality arts experiences while schools and theaters are closed via distance learning, online playwriting programs and virtual theatrical events. We are retaining our full staff during this time, as each member of our team is integral to YPT’s continued success. Your gift today will ensure that YPT can continue to inspire young people to realize the power of their voices and share their brilliance with the world throughout this crisis and beyond.
